The Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico issued a favorable opinion on the fiscal operations of the Conservatory of Music of Puerto Rico Corporation. The audit had as specific objectives to examine the management and control of the income from legislative appropriations, and the collections for tuition, rental of spaces, recording studios, among others.
The tests carried out and the evidence in the possession of the Office of the Comptroller revealed that the fiscal operations that are the subject of this Report were carried out in all significant aspects in accordance with the applicable law and regulations.
The Conservatory of Music is a corporation that was established under Act No. 77 of May 30, 1980, with the purpose of strengthening the academic autonomy of musical education, among others. For fiscal years 2017 to 2021, the Conservatory generated income of $42,655,069 and disbursed $49,306,020.
This report covers the period from July 1, 2013, to June 30, 2021.
