Library

The Don Rafael de J. Cordero Library is a consultation and reference resource for the personnel who work in the various government entities and the community in general. The Library of the Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico was established in the late 1970s under the tenure of the then Comptroller, CPA Ramón Rivera Marrero. Through Resolution No. 97-03 of May 17, 1997, the then Comptroller, CPA Ileana Colón Carlo, designated the Library as the Don Rafael de J. Cordero Library in honor of the first Comptroller of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico.

The invaluable historical content of its books, shelves and resources makes it a heritage of Puerto Rico. It is governed by the vision, mission and values that define the Office of the Comptroller. Among the values that guide our service are commitment, excellence, integrity, justice, respect, responsibility, sensitivity and transparency.

We offer consultation services by phone and by email.

We have more than 1,581 specialized bibliographic resources, including the audit, accounting, fraud and law collection. In addition, the periodicals collection has specialized resources in auditing and law.

We also have general reference resources, such as dictionaries and encyclopedias.
