The Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico issues a favorable opinion on the administrative and internal controls of the Colegio de Productores de Espectáculos Públicos de Puerto Rico (Colegio) and Fundación del Colegio de Productores Don Tommy Muñiz, Inc. (Fundación), and on the cash, collections and reconciliations area of the Fundación. The tests performed and the evidence in our possession revealed that operations were carried out in accordance with the applicable law and regulations.
The Colegio de Productores de Espectáculos Públicos de Puerto Rico was created by Act 113-2005 to, among other functions, ensure the professional quality and competitiveness of producers. In addition, its mission is to create programs offering free tickets or special prices intended for low-income communities in Puerto Rico.
The aforementioned law also provided for the creation of the Fundación to provide, among others, educational, sports, artistic and cultural service programs to the community and any other service of social and professional interest.
