The Comptroller of Puerto Rico issued a favorable opinion on the fiscal operations of the Office of the Commissioner of Municipal Affairs (OCAM). The tests performed and the evidence in our possession revealed that the administrative and internal controls of property, purchases and personnel files of OCAM were carried out in all significant respects in accordance with the applicable law and regulations.
The audit comments that, through legislation, the functions and duties assigned to OCAM were eliminated and transferred to other agencies. OCAM's responsibilities were transferred to the Office for Socioeconomic and Community Development of Puerto Rico created by Act 10-2017, and to the Office of Municipal Management within the structure of the Office of Management and Budget, as provided by Act 81-2017.
The Report covers the period from January 1, 2012 to May 31, 2017 .
