The Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico issued a favorable opinion on the fiscal operations of the Guayama Judicial Region of the General Court of Justice, related to collections and disbursements.
The tests performed and the evidence examined by the auditors of the Office of the Comptroller revealed that the fiscal operations were carried out in accordance with the applicable law and regulations.
The Guayama Judicial Region was established in 1981 and provides services to the municipalities of Arroyo, Guayama, Patillas and Salinas. The budget for fiscal year 2016 was $9.1 million, and it decreased to $9 million in 2017; $7.9 million in 2018 and $7.7 million in 2019.
The report covers the period from January 1, 2015 to June 30, 2019.
