The Comptroller of Puerto Rico issued a favorable opinion of the fiscal operations of the San Juan Judicial Region of the General Court of Justice. The tests performed and the evidence obtained revealed that the operations were carried out in accordance with the applicable law and regulations.
The compliance audit aimed to determine whether the collections and disbursements of the regional secretary's and regional marshal's accounts, as well as the management of the savings accounts of minors or incapacitated persons, were carried out in accordance with the regulations in force and the established procedures. Based on the work performed, no significant deficiencies were identified, and therefore the Report contains no findings.
The San Juan Judicial Region is made up of the courts of first instance of the municipalities that form the region. The estimated budget from 2016 to 2019 was $113.5 million.
The Report covers the period from January 1, 2016 to June 30, 2019.
