The Comptroller of Puerto Rico issued a favorable opinion on the fiscal operations of the Bayamón Driver Services Center, of the Directorate of Driver Services of the Department of Transportation and Public Works. The tests performed and the evidence examined revealed that the operations were carried out, in all significant aspects, in accordance with the applicable law and regulations.
The audit's objective was to examine, among others, the control and dispatch processes for values, the lien files, and the granting and renewal of licenses to operate motor vehicle inspection stations, agency businesses and dealers. Based on the work performed, no significant deficiencies related to the objectives of this Report were identified.
The Bayamón Driver Services Center offers services to the residents of Cataño, Dorado, Guaynabo, Toa Alta, Toa Baja and Bayamón.
The audit report covers the period from January 1, 2014 to December 31, 2018.
