The Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico issued a favorable opinion on the fiscal operations of the Humacao Judicial Region of the General Court of Justice. The tests conducted and the evidence in the Comptroller's possession revealed that the collections and disbursements of the accounts of the regional clerk and marshal were made in accordance with the applicable regulations and procedures.
The Humacao Judicial Region was established by means of the Administrative Order of February 29, 1980, and constitutes one of the 13 established in Act 201-2003, of the Judiciary of the Commonwealth of Puerto Rico. The Region is composed of the courts of first instance of Las Piedras, Maunabo, Naguabo, Yabucoa, and Humacao.
For fiscal years 2016 to 2020, the estimated budget distribution was $63,690,057. For the same period, the regional clerk and marshal made collections of $25,362,170 and disbursements of $25,961,774, for a balance of ($599,604). This report covers the period from January 1, 2016 to February 29, 2020.
