The Comptroller of Puerto Rico issued a favorable opinion on the examination of the contracts and disbursements related to the collection of debris and vegetative material in Las Marías. The tests performed and the evidence in our possession revealed that these operations were carried out, in all significant aspects, in accordance with the applicable law and regulations.
On the other hand, the Report notes that, as of June 30, 2019, the Municipality had not recovered $63,500 for engineering services rendered by a regular corporation that was not authorized to provide that service. This situation had already been noted in a Special Comment of Audit Report M-18-04 of August 22, 2017.
