The Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico issues a favorable opinion on the operations of the Information Systems Office of the Vocational Rehabilitation Administration of the Department of Labor and Human Resources. The evaluation of the internal controls for service continuity and data entry into the ARV's Client Rehabilitation Information System were carried out, in all significant aspects, in accordance with the applicable standards and regulations.
The ARV is responsible for providing individualized services so that eligible persons with disabilities achieve an employment goal or a more independent life in accordance with their strengths, priorities, resources, interests, concerns and abilities. The ARV has six regional offices and provided services to 51,388 citizens. In fiscal years 2014 through 2016 it had a total budget of $250 million.
