Comptroller cancels training for Elected Municipal Legislators until they are certified
The course for elected municipal legislators, scheduled for this week, has been canceled. The Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico has not received from the State Elections Commission (CEE) the preliminary certifications of those municipal legislators who were elected, as provided by the Regulation.
The training on the Use of Public Property and Funds is a requirement under Article 10.12 of Act 58-2020, Electoral Code of Puerto Rico of 2020, formerly Act 78-2011.
“The Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico is ready to offer the training; we only need the information on the certifications from the State Elections Commission. We notify the elected municipal legislators that they will be informed of the dates of the courses required by law via email”, indicated the Comptroller, Yesmín M. Valdivieso.
