San Juan- The Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico held this week a Follow-up and Monitoring Workshop titled “Policy on Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination”, together with 12 countries of the Organization of Latin American and Caribbean Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS), under the direction of the General Comptroller's Office of Chile.
“The Office of the Comptroller is part of the OLACEFS working group that participates in coordinated audits on gender violence. This week we had the opportunity to exchange information on follow-up mechanisms, as well as to sign the commitments to set new developments in motion”, stated the Comptroller of Puerto Rico, Yesmín M. Valdivieso.
The workshop, held on June 5 and 6 in San Juan, was attended by the audit institutions of Argentina, Brazil, Chile, Ecuador, El Salvador, Guatemala, Honduras, Mexico, Paraguay, Dominican Republic, Uruguay and Venezuela.
At the 2021 OLACEFS General Assembly, the Working Group on Gender Equality and Non-Discrimination was approved. Other working groups of this organization are: Public Works and Disaster Oversight.
