San Juan – The Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico invites the public to participate in the Survey on the Perception of Transparency and Access to Public Information available on the website and on the social networks of the Office of the Comptroller. This initiative is part of the 2030 Agenda of the Sustainable Development Goals promulgated by the United Nations Organization, and is carried out simultaneously in the countries that are part of the Latin American and Caribbean Organization of Supreme Audit Institutions (OLACEFS).
“At the Office of the Comptroller we are committed to guaranteeing public access to information and protecting fundamental freedoms, as well as to strengthening the transparency and effectiveness of our Office. That is why we invite the public to participate in this survey that will help meet these objectives” stated the Comptroller of Puerto Rico, Yesmín M. Valdivieso.
OLACEFS defines the Sustainable Development Goals as a call to action to promote prosperity in all countries—rich, middle-income and poor—while protecting the planet from climate change and ecological harm. These goals range from the elimination of poverty to the protection of health, education, women's equality, the defense of the environment or the design of our cities and job opportunities, among others. Through this survey we aim to address target 16.6 of Goal 16, Peace, Justice and Strong Institutions, which seeks to create effective, transparent and accountable institutions at all levels.
