(San Juan, PR) – The Comptroller of Puerto Rico, Yesmín M. Valdivieso, published the results of a satisfaction study of the 3,655 evaluations received from public servants who participated in 68 orientation sessions offered in fiscal year 2022. In total, 75 orientation sessions were offered to 7,427 participants. The conclusions reflect a high satisfaction rate, between 4.87 and 5 average rating, with 5 being the highest rating.
“The responses of the public servants help us measure and evaluate the reach of our external orientations. In addition, the recommendations help us improve the prevention strategies in form and content,” expressed Comptroller Yesmín M. Valdivieso.
The questionnaire asked about the facilitators' mastery of the subject matter, the clarity and tone in oral communication, satisfaction with the topic, and the organization of the activity. The conclusions indicate that the performance improved in 2022 and highlight the mastery of the subject matter of the facilitators of the Office of Prevention and External Orientations of the Office of the Comptroller.
The participating public servants in turn recommended developing technology to conduct the orientations remotely and to increase their frequency. In addition, they suggested promoting the training of human capital in government entities about the findings and recommendations of the Comptroller's reports.
“For the Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico it is important to capture the greatest possible attention from government employees on the contents of the orientations. To the extent that participants respond satisfactorily, it makes it easier to improve the processes in government agencies, which in turn contributes to the correct use of public property and funds,” indicated Valdivieso.
