The auditor is a fundamental piece for the operational soundness of any organization.
I take pride in knowing that our Office is honored to have responsible and committed auditors, whose structured work is carried out in the search for, analysis and investigation of proof and evidence.
I know you have carried out this work with effort and dedication even amid the global emergency caused by COVID-19, which has affected millions of people and thousands of Puerto Ricans.
The fruit of that meticulous work materializes in reports, writings and documents that contribute, among other things, to the continuous improvement of the fiscal operations of the public administration and to the good use of public funds and property.
My auditors, you, possess all those characteristics, and that is why I affirm that you are thorough and upright professionals, the most valuable resource the Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico has.
