Thanksgiving Day

At the Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico, we celebrate this date
of Thanksgiving Day,

which reminds us that giving thanks to God is an ineffable gift.

We give thanks to God for everything positive that has happened to us,

and for having transformed the adverse events into opportunities
for growth for everyone.

We give thanks for the good things, and the not-so-good ones too,
since these make us improve as people.

Our staff is a grateful team
that lives the spirit of fellowship and that values effort,
commitment, and excellence.

There are always difficulties to overcome, but with the support of family,
friends, and coworkers,

we move forward with more hope and expectation.

Let us take advantage of these days to share with family
and rediscover the kindness and affection of our loved ones.

Let us remember in particular the elders,
to whom we owe the present world,

and the children to whom we want to bequeath a better world.

Let us hope you enjoy a wonderful Thanksgiving
dinner and, with the proper health precautions,
let us give way to the Christmas season of family unity and joy.
