Through Executive Order OE-20-33, the Government of Puerto Rico established the continuation of the state of emergency for Puerto Rico through May 3 inclusive. The Order provides for the curfew, quarantine and government closure with exceptions, among others.
At the Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico we remain attentive to the instructions of the Department of Health and the Center for Disease Control and Prevention, https://www.cdc.gov. We want all of our personnel to take care of their health and that of their family, following the guidelines established by the authorities.
In response to the emergency, our Office published Circular Letter OC-20-20 which authorizes an extension of up to 15 days after the end of the Curfew as the deadline to register and submit a copy of all granted contracts whose term expires during that period. In addition, through Circular Letter OC-20-21, the deadline to submit the Monthly Reports of the Payroll and Position Registry for the months of February, March and April is extended through June 30.
Furthermore, Circular Letter OC-20-22 extends through October 30, 2020 the deadline to complete and submit to our Office form OC-DA-123, Certification of Compliance with Act 273-2003, Contractual Standards Act on Independence in External Audits, as amended; and Notification of Submission of Management Letters, Audit Reports, Audited Financial Statements and Others, corresponding to fiscal year 2018-19.
We want to alert that if you know of any situation regarding the misuse of public property and funds, illegal purchases, contracts not granted in accordance with laws and regulations, and others, you may file a complaint with the Office of the Comptroller through the platform https://querellas.ocpr.gov.pr, or by sending an email to querellas@ocpr.gov.pr.
