(CyberNews) – The Office of the Comptroller of Puerto Rico and the University of Puerto Rico, Río Piedras Campus, signed a collaborative agreement on Tuesday to integrate audit and investigation lectures and practical training into the students' academic experience, in effect until June 30, 2026.

“This agreement trains future leaders on our mission of overseeing public resources, promoting their efficient and ethical use,” indicated Comptroller Yesmín M. Valdivieso in written statements.
Rector Angélica Varela Llavona highlighted that the agreement reinforces the comprehensive education of the students, linking them with audit and public administration practices. “Quote,” said the Rector.
The agreement includes an Internship Program so that students acquire experience in audit and public administration, fostering interest in public service. The Office of the Comptroller will also participate in academic events of the Campus.
